Helping Teens Overcome Bullying & Aggressive Behavior

Bullying and aggression are serious behavioral concerns that can lead to lasting emotional and psychological harm for both the aggressor and the victim. Bullying is a form of intentional, repeated harm, whether physical, verbal, non-verbal, or digital. Aggression, similarly, involves hostile or injurious behavior intended to dominate or intimidate others. Teens who engage in these behaviors often struggle with impulse control, empathy, and emotional regulation, and may be dealing with underlying disorders such as ODD, Conduct Disorder, or ADHD. Without intervention, these patterns can escalate, causing damage to relationships, academic success, and overall well-being.

Common Signs of Bullying & Aggression

  • Physical violence: hitting, pushing, spitting

  • Verbal abuse: name-calling, teasing, spreading rumors

  • Social exclusion or mocking gestures

  • Cyberbullying: threatening messages, sexting, public shaming online

  • Frequent angry outbursts or temper issues

  • Need for control or dominance over peers.

  • Little to no remorse for causing harm

  • Aggression toward authority figures or siblings

  • Difficulty forming and maintaining friendships

  • Encouraging or joining group bullying behavior

At Triumph Youth Services, we offer a highly structured, family-style environment where young men can address aggressive behavior in a safe, supportive setting. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), individual counseling, and group and family therapy, we help students understand the connection between their thoughts and actions. Our Life Skills Group teaches new, healthier ways to respond to social situations, and our Positive Peer Culture model reinforces accountability, empathy, and respectful communication. Our trained staff act as mentors and role models, helping young men take ownership of their actions and develop emotional self-control. Together, we help youth unlearn harmful patterns and begin a path toward personal growth, healing, and positive behavior.
